Sleeping Beauty Turquoise was mined out of the now closed turquoise mine in Globe, AZ. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed.

Many artists have used this turquoise, and it's rarity has made pieces with this stone very special.
